With advances in technology and healthcare, the elderly population is increasing annually, making elderly care a significant challenge. To address this issue, countries worldwide are investing in long-term care centers and smart home facilities to mitigate the impact of an aged society, aiming to reduce labor resource depletion and alleviate the burden on caregivers. This study aims to alleviate the strain on nursing resources over the long term by leveraging smart home technology. However, effectively setting up a smart home environment remains a major issue. This study utilizes sensor data for statistical analysis and proposes improvements based on the Active LeZi algorithm. During the training process, 3 or 6 words encoding are read at a time to form phrases............

The reaction of 1,2-dichlorobenzene with ozone have been conducted. FTIR and GC/MS were applied to analyze the sample solution at variousreaction time.New vibrational absorptions wereobserved in IR spectrum contained C=O and O-Hfunctional groupsafter ozone passes through1,2-dichlorobenzene.At the end of the reaction, a brown precipitate was produced. The IR spectrum detected new peaks of the stretching vibration of =C-H, C=C, C=O and O-H. Precipitate was dissolved in different solvents andmeasured by GCMS, many high molecular weight products were detected. It shows that there may be a polymerization reaction after the reaction between 1,2-dichlorobenzene and ozone.

The objective of this study is to improve the knowledge of the geological structures of the Loum-Minta area using satellite gravity data derived from the WGM2012 global geopotential model. The Bouguer anomaly map obtained shows values ranging from 50.91 to 87.24 mGals. The map is characterized by elongated anomalies in a dominant NE-SW direction, influenced by the orientation of the geological formations of the region. Tilt angle, Center for Exploration Targeting (CET) and Euler deconvolution were applied to the Bouguer anomaly grid covering Loum-Minta. These two techniques revealed a series of lineaments with main orientations N-S, ENE-WSW, E-W and NE-SW.............

The effectiveness of alkaline pretreatment at elevated temperatures in the acid hydrolysis of palm mesocarp fiber (OPMF) was compared to ultrasonic-assisted alkaline pretreatment at room temperature. The study varied temperatures (60°C, 80°C, and 100°C) and NaOH concentrations (4% and 8% v/v) for the alkaline pretreatment at elevated temperatures. For the ultrasonic-assisted alkaline pretreatment, the effect of sonication power (40%, 60%, and 80%) and NaOH concentrations (4% and 8% v/v) were evaluated without heating to a higher temperature. After pretreatment, the samples were subjected into acid hydrolysis under constant condition. The highest percentage of levulinic acid (LA) was obtained from the sample pretreated with alkaline pretreatment with heating at 100°C with 8% NaOH, yielding 3.28% LA.......

Pipeline failures in Nigeria have been linked to corrosion caused by old infrastructures. Petroleum pipelines are the most endorsed carriageway of the oil and gas products over competing means such as truck and rail for valid reasons such as being the safest, most convenient, economical, low theft/accident risk and cost-effective means available. These pipelines are susceptible to deteriorate in diverse, extreme climatic and soil conditions which affects their performance and reliability. It is well known that the corrosion resistance of materials can be improved by coating the pipeline to form a protective, dense and stable anti corrosion layer over the material. In order to investigate the influence of viscosity and coating thickness on anti-corrosion resistance of coated 5L X65 steel pipes, the pipes were coated with three produced metallic coatings, copper-metallic, chromium metallic and nickel metallic. Viscosity and ultrasonic thickness tests are performed to investigate the impact on the corrosion degree.
