Memory management concerns the process of managing the computer memory, in particular, the main memory, which is an expensive resource of the computer system. In this study, a mobile agent was developed for monitoring memory usage in a network. Monitoring the memory usage of systems in a network is essential in a multiprocessing and multitasking environment due to fact that some processes invoked at startup or those running on the background can consume physical memory and reduce the available memory in their idle states; this way, they reduce the efficiency of the system. Monitoring memory helps to increase the performance of the
system and enhance the efficiency of the network.................

A periodic variation of the index of refraction of a fiber optics is known as the Fiber Bragg Grating. It works on the principle of wavelength shifts in response to the modulation of the light source as a result of change in temperature above the reference point. This paper presents the design and analysis of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor to measure and monitor the temperature change in powerlines for a particular range of temperature. Simulation was carried out on Optisystem to determine the peak reflectivity of the Bragg wavelength. It is seen that a change in the reflected spectrum of light is proportional to the change in temperature as shown in the FBG interrogator.

The notion of electronic energy meters has been hosted the power sector to effectively record the energy consumed for billing purposes and also to curtail losses that occurs due to conventional electromechanical energy meters. Although the machinery of e-metering has gone through rapid technological expansions, still there is a demand for an efficient energy management system. This paper presents an efficient energy management system for household purposes using GSM based Automatic Energy meter. This system provides the necessary measurement of power consumption and payment with prepaid billing. It automatically provides prior notification to the consumers, once the recharge amount approaches zero. It also efficiently manages the energy consumption by periodic intimation of consumed power to the customers.

A The paper treats the control of production process with production delay. A simple production system with delay is analyzed, where the production of a single product is continuously performed. The Lambert functions are used to solve the governing delayed differential equation of the production process in an analytical form. In the paper, the stability of the production system control is investigated and an analytical stability bound is obtained, whichdecides if the production process can be controlled in the stable area. Analytical results of production process with delay of various size are computed, which reveal an aperiodic or oscillatory character of actual inventory, respectively. Results, obtained by using Lambert function are compared with solutions, computed by Runge-Kutta numerical integration. All comparisons show a perfect matching of both solutions.

As a cultural artifact, architecture tends to be something that has a symbol. Other than its decorative function, architecture is a way to communicate meaningful cultural values. The objective of this study is to interpret the meaning based on theory and semiology method within linguistic. Therefore, a study of signification in architecture and how it could be extracted as a symbol then read as texts. Furthermore, the study of semiology theory is used to explore the ideas and concepts, through theory adaptation and redefinition in the architecture system. Based on this approach, Gorontalo vernacular architecture defined as a case study which concepts are extractable.............

Classical planning and scheduling theories are limited in satisfying requirements of today's demand driven and competitive organizations. General approach in production scheduling is related to a single criterion minimization while scheduling problems often can require more than one constraint which increases the need of multiple criteria analysis. Besides, sometimes the objectives of the scheduling problem may conflict within each other which makes several theories unusable. In this work, we set up a real conflicting case in an assembly-line production utility based on component assembly and using component production in main-item composition in assembly-line production model..........

Advances in biotechnology generated wide range of microbial genome and their related protein database. Freshwater cyanobacterium Anabaena PCC7120 sensory rhodopsin, ASR in contrast to classical haloarchaeal sensory rhodopsins interacts with putative soluble transducer, ASRT. The 125 amino acid transducer exists as a soluble protein and is involved in photoreceptor binding. Recombinant DNA tools in biotechnology conventionally support the use of affinity tags for ease of protein purification and subsequent studies. The ASRT exists as a stable tetramer. Both X-ray crystal structure and solution NMR results with ASRT utilizing hexa-histidine affinity tag reveal it as a primarily β-stranded protein We have observed...........

In recent times there have been extreme climatic conditions due to climate change. As a result of this, the intensity of rainfall has increased tremendously causing floods in many areas and countries worldwide. It is therefore prudent that such a natural hazard is addressed in a way to reduce the impact it causes on people and the environment. In September / October 2012, it displaced millions of people in Nigeria and submerged several square kilometres of landed area in general and farmlands in particular. Although, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) predicted the occurrence of the flood disaster and advised the relocation of residence from the flood-plain to the high ground, but spatial information pertaining to the areal extent at risk was not made available............
