A hundred million tons of microplastics contaminate the ocean. Besides causing environmental pollution, microplastics are also ingested by plankton and fish and transferred up the food chain to humans. Submersible robots can be equipped with tools to capture microplastics as they enter the ocean and assess potential environmental hazards. During long underwater cleanup missions, flow disturbances and energy consumption are inevitable concerns. This work investigates how rotating a top-mounted, two-axis rudder allows an underwater vehicle to adapt to water flows and optimize energy consumption. The proposed robot can increase its travel speed with or against flows by self-adjusting its rudder rotation........

Key Words: Two-axis rudder, incident angle, self-adjustable, flow adaptation, energy optimization.

Paper Title :: Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) for Stabilizing Power System with Multi-Machine Having Dynamic Loads
Author Name :: Getaye Yeshaneh Sinishaw

The main objective of this paper is to show, how a PSS (Power System Stabilizer) of a multi machine with dynamic load has been optimized by using an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) based optimization technique. The designed PSS is to supply an external damping torque to an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) of a synchronous generator without affecting the synchronizing torque. The PSS is designed based on the use of FLC (Fuzzy Logic Controller) by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) methods for the system. The designed controllers have been tested on a test system having a dynamic load. The simulation results shown using MATLAB/SIMULINK shows that, ANFIS-PSS is effective to control the low frequency electromechanical oscillation of interconnected power systems under severe disturbances with dynamic loads.

In order to improve the overall performance of solar panel brackets, this article designs a solar panel bracket and conducts research on it. This article uses Ansys Workbench software to perform finite element analysis on the bracket, and simplifies the bracket based on the results of the finite element analysis. Based on the simplified bracket model, this article adopts the response surface method to lightweight design the main beam structure of the bracket, and analyzes and compares the bracket models before and after optimization. The optimized main beam adopts a section height of 100mm,....

In order to improve the overall performance of solar panel brackets, this article designs a simple solar panel bracket and conducts research on it. This article uses Ansys Workbench software to conduct finite element analysis on the bracket, and uses response surface method to optimize the design of the angle iron structure that makes up the bracket. The overall model of the bracket before and after optimization is analyzed and compared. The optimized angle iron section adopts the section height of 32mm, the section width of 21.6mm, and the section thickness of 2mm. Compared with the original stent, the weight of the optimized stent was reduced by 0.4365kg, and the weight loss rate reached 11.02%. At the same time, the maximum displacement of the optimized bracket is reduced by 0.0531mm and the maximum stress is also reduced by 1.587MPa. This indicates that the solar panel bracket enhances the overall performance of the bracket while achieving lightweight.

Key Words: Solar panel bracket; Ansys workbench; Finite element analysis; Response surface; Multi-objective optimization.

Are only medical facilities and therapeutic landscapes considered to be examples of "restoration and rehabilitation in design"? Can the living and working environments support those healing spheres to address the psychological issue at its core? This study's major goal is to look at new advancements in biophilic design with regard to therapy and restoration in order to sustain quality of life in the nearby built environment. The study examines issues related to mental health in the built environment. The idea of "biophilic design" has gained traction and is now regarded as a way to bridge the ecological gap. When it comes to increasing productivity and effectiveness at work inside the interior environment, biophilic design is regarded as a creative force multiplier. Incorporating biophilic design and retrofitting strategies that can improve cognitive function and foster mental serenity into the construction industry is the study's main objective.

Key Words: Biophilia; biophilic design; built environment; restorative environment; sustainability; sustainable architecture; well-being.

Evaporation is a very important stage of the hydrological cycle, its precise determination allows correctly sizing reservoir capacity in water storage dams in high altitude areas and determining potential and reference evapotranspiration for crop water needs and demand. The research was carried out at the Ichuña meteorological station in the Moquegua region in Peru. The general objective was to determine the relationship between daily evaporation and climate elements, as well as calibrate and validate the relationship within a modeling process. Meteorological variables were used such as extraterrestrial radiation, temperature.......
