The globalization generate that different groups leave their country of origin in search of better opportunities. In the countries of the developing world, mainly in Latin America, there are deficiencies that make communities migrate, these groups conform in their minds to a social imaginary of a possible new life, which is based on the "American dream". Dreamers cross the country of Mexico from various areas of the world to reach the United States of America, but it is currently a topic in controversy with the proposed policies for the construction of a wall on the northern border by the president Donald Trump. The importance of this work is grounded on an analysis of the contrast of the social imaginary of migrants with the imaginary of students in Architecture and Urbanism in a semiotic and phenomenological way into the complex thought. The main objective of this manuscript is to develop an analytical method based on experimental results to evaluate the reliability of a 19x7 anti-gyratory wire rope during its periodic control on its exploitation. In this work, the wire rope is supposed to undergo two modes of degradation (fatigue and wear), ignoring other degradation modes (corrosion, torsion, erosion, etc.). The energetic behavior of a strand extracted from steel wire rope and subjected to static tests has been approached in the development of analytical relations on the experimental results data. The results obtained relate the variation of internal energy of the strand during the static test, to the fraction of life characterized by the number of cut wires. The main advantage of determining the internal energy variation of a strand is that it can be integrated into preventive maintenance as a periodic control criterion. Gari is widely consumed in Ghana, Nigeria, most countries of West Africa as well as in Brazil (Olagoke, et al., 2014).Due to its low cost, easy storage, long shelf life and ease of preparation, it serves as the major meal or dish among the low income earners. Consequently, the meal is often not balanced in diet depriving the poor of essential nutrients such as protein. In the present investigation, sifted cassava mash and soybean flour were used in the preparation of nutritionally enhanced gari. The gari was prepared by mixing sifted cassava mash with soy flour in the ratios of 1:1, 3:2, 7:3, 4:3, 1:0 and roasted together for about 15 minutes each until if turned crispy.......... In this research recovery of aluminum from its oxide (slag) was carried out. Fluxing agents Kcl and Nacl with little Zncl2 were added to lower the melting point of the slag and to speed up the reaction. Clean aluminum was weighed in a digital weighing balance and melted in a crucible furnace (gas fired). After sieving the aluminum slag, coarse aluminum slag with low surface energy was weighed and added to the furnace at intervals. Fluxing agents were then weighed and added into the furnace until the whole mixture is melted. The analysis shows that fluxes work on the surface chemistry by reducing the surface tension and thereby enhancing liberation of the aluminum from the slag. In the first, second, and third experiments 8g, 11g and 9g of aluminum were recovered respectively. The result shows that aluminum can be reused in products after its initial production which is far less expensive and low energy than creating new aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) which must first be mined from bauxites and then refined. The serious problems of pollution and global warming appear to be difficult to tackle. The solutions being offered are for containing both rather than eliminating. The real causes of these problems basically are combustion and fossil fuels. If we can tap energy from non-carbonaceous materials without involving combustion the problems will get eliminated. This paper discusses one such chemical reaction of decomposition, which can be made to produce kinetic energy. Such an approach will lead to a totally green engine which will give out useful gases rather than dangerous gases as in case of today's engines. The presence of fog in the atmosphere degrades the quality of images captured by visible camera sensors. The removal of fog, called defogging, is typically performed under the physical degradation model, which necessitates a solution of an ill-posed inverse problem. To relieve the difficulty of the inverse problem, a novel prior called dark channel prior (DCP) was recently proposed and has received a great deal of attention. Based on the DCP, the defogging is accomplished through four major steps: atmospheric light estimation, transmission map estimation, transmission map refinement, and image reconstruction. This Study is first of its kind into the implementation of incentive bonus schemes in the Indian Railways. The study makes an in depth study into two bonus incentive schemes being implemented in the selected workshops of South Central Railway. In the Lallaguda workshop, Secunderabad the payment by results incentive scheme is being implemented and in the Carriage Repair Workshop, Tirupati, the group incentive scheme is under implementation. Both the schemes offer incentives to the employees on continuous basis for the extra efforts they put in. This examined the implementation of the schemes in the two workshops, the advantages of the schemes, the shortfalls and the reforms needed in their implementation. The author feels there is lack of awareness about the incentive schemes in both the workshops at the lower level of employees. He feels the Railways should undertake an intensive awareness programme on incentive bonus schemes currently under implementation in respective workshops. Slow strain rate test technique was employed to detect the susceptibility to stress corrosion cracking of conventional 3l6L austenitic stainless steel and its weldment. Tensile testing was carried out at room temperature in air and in 3% NaCl solution of pH 1.5 at open circuit potential and under controlled potential. Tensile testing at open circuit and controlled potential resulted in a decrease in tensile properties and time to failure. However, the reduction in tensile properties and % drop in the time to failure, along with the semi brittle features of fracture surface morphology, indicated little evidence for stress corrosion cracking susceptibility. This could be associatedwith the relatively intermediate stacking fault energy values of the tested materials. Stress corrosion cracking susceptibility of 3I6L weldment was competentto that of 3l6L base metal by virtue of delta ferrite in the microstructure of the weld metal. The results were discussed in relation to the effect of chemical composition on the deformation and stress-corrosion behaviour of the investigated materials. The effect of preheating temperature (25, 50, 75 and 100°C) and applied pressures (8400, 15000, 19500) on oil production characteristics (oil yield, oil quality and energy input) of whole, kernels and crushed Jatropha seeds was assessed between December 2017 and April 2018 at the Renewable Energy Laboratory of the University of Dschang-Cameroon. For this purpose, 100 g of each type of seeds preheated for 5 minutes at the above mentioned temperature, was introduced in the hydraulic press and subjected to the three levels of extraction pressures also mentioned above. The main results were as follows. The non-preheated kernels (25°C) at the applied pressure of 19500 had the highest oil yield (39.03±0.85%) significantly. the lowest oil yield was observed with the crushed seed preheated at 50°C at the lowest pressure....... Soils, which exhibit a peculiar alternate swell-shrink behavior due to moisture fluctuations, are known as expansive soils. Expansive soil is considered as the problematic soil for most of construction activities because of its expansive behavior. There are many way to solve this problematic behavior of expansive soil. Soil stabilization is one of the techniques to improve the geotechnical behavior of expansive soil. This paper presents the effect of Rice Husk Ash(RHA) and Terrasil on the geotechnical properties of black cotton soil blending with different percentages with a view to determine the geotechnical behaviour of black cotton soil- RHA-Terrasil. The results obtained show that the increase in RHA content increases the OMC but decreases the MDD, observing improvement of CBR value.
