One of the efforts to eradicate dengue fever (DHF) is by developing a periodic vector surveillance system so that it can see climate change and the pattern of case distribution. The Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Dissemination information system in Pontianak City was built based on desktop using Borland Delphi7 and MySQL as its Database while the online catalog was based on Desktop for Administrative System using Borland Delphi7 and PostgreSQL as its Database, and web-based catalog online using the same php and database that is PostgreSQL. Online catalogs are built using a framework that is organized according to the standard web programming rules. The concept of Object.........

Paper Title :: Research on Road Crack Detection Based on Image Processing
Author Name :: Zhi Cui || Yixiang Wang

Cracks are one of common road defects. Road crack detection is important for traffic safety. Image processing methods of road crack detection were studied. Through the comparison of average filtering, median filtering, and Wiener filtering, Wiener filtering method was employed to denoise images. Denoised images were subject to binarization processing by histogram threshold segmentation method and between-cluster variance threshold segmentation method, to lay the foundation for subsequent feature extraction of road cracks.........

Water is an essential component of the environment and it sustains life on the earth. Human beings depend on water for their survival. The river water contamination with domestic and municipal sewage disposal, leaching of fertilizers, agricultural runoff and industrial effluents is becoming a common phenomenon. A laboratory study was conducted to monitor the physicochemical characteristics of water samples of Kham River for a period of ten months during July 2010 to April 2012.The analysis was done for the parameters like sulphates, phosphates, nitrates, DO, BOD, COD and TSS as per the standard methods given by APHA. The estimated values of selected physicochemical parameters of water were compared with standard values. Present research work shows that the water quality of Kham River is potentially deteriorated possibly due to increased artificial activities and improper release of industrial effluents in the river. Wise planning and proper management are needed to protect river water for sustainable utilization.

Keywords - waterphysico-chemicalanalysis, Kham river.

Paper Title :: A Study in Development and Application of a Virtual Fuel Cell Test Platform
Author Name :: Nguyen Hoai Son || Nhu-Tung Nguyen

Fuel cell research can provide a convenient and economic alternative for testing the fuel cell performance system. This paper proposed a low-cost and an easy-to-use fuel cell testing with a Virtual Fuel Cell Test Platform (VFCTP),which was built by Visual Basic language. Using semi-empirical equations for modeling a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell in the program, a tool for the design and analysis of fuel cell total systemswas developed and applied. The VFCTP was successfully verified by experimental results. Virtual Fuel Cell Test Platform can help users to know the important factors of the performance of fuel cells and to understand the effect of different parameter such as pressure, and temperature at different operating voltages. Further, with friendly interface and the easy to use, this program provided teaching materials to study of the fuel cell. Application and function of the program also is the indirect purpose of promoting education.

Keywords - Virtual Fuel Cell Test Platform; PEM fuel cell; Polarization curve; Semi- empirical equation.

Paper Title :: Assessment of Matrix variation of Nuclear Materials bearing samples on gamma ray detector response using MCNP code
Author Name :: M. Darweesh

Careful verification of the quantities of nuclear material is required during the various stages of the life of the nuclear fuel cycle facilities for nuclear safeguard activities. The nuclear fuel cycle contains a different matrix of nuclear materials with different densities as well as in their chemical composition that may affect the response of gamma ray detectors. Relative measurement using gamma ray detectors is a good tool for checking the content of nuclear materials. This method requires different standard sources for calibration of the measurement system. Which may be difficult to obtain. In this work, various compounds of uranium, thorium, and plutonium have been proposed to study the effect of variance in the nuclear material matrix on the response of the HPGe detector using MCNP. The simulation involves modeling the germanium detector calculated as the "F8" pulse height in common gamma ray power lines using the MCNP code for the proposed samples.

In the design of the Water Molecule Power Reactor there are many parameters and elements to be considered such as thephysical design structure and the analysis of mathematical elements and principles which is essential and needed in order to be able to create a safe and fully working Water Molecule Power Reactor. In this paper it will examine the molecular level of these design principles and the mathematical theories beyond the concept of the design parameters. There are many questions which need to be answered which. is why it will be reflected in this paper and to answer those questions this paper will focus on the molecular properties of matter with respect to electrons and atoms. This paper will address one by one and tackle these mathematical problems and answer them in a way that is simple and straight forward for the readers.........
