There has been a significant increase in the use of motorcycles as taxis in countries in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and, Latin America. Motorcycle taxis however contribute to many road traffic accidents in many cities in Ghana. The objective of this research is to establish the injury severity and pattern among motorcycle taxis in Accra. A ten- year (2011-2020) accident data from Ghana was analysed. A descriptive analysis was used. During the period, 3197 motorcycle casualties occurred in Accra of which 77% were fatal, 74% were serious (hospitalised) and 72% were minor injuries. Eighty- Five percent of motorcycle accident victims were males. Motorcycle collisions with pedestrians resulted in a majority....... The photolysis reactions of propargyl halide with ozone in Ar matrix have been conducted. After photolysis, the new absorption bands of IR spectra were compared with literature and theoretical calculation frequencies of possible products, indicated the isolated products are 4-(halomethyl)-1,2,3-trioxolene (POZ), 1-(halomethyl)-2,3,5-trioxa-bicyclo[2.1.0]pentane (SOZ), and formic haloacetic anhydride. The reaction mechanism was first 1,3 dipolar cycloaddition of ozone to triple bond of propargyl halide to form POZ and then decomposed to ionic component and rearranged to form SOZ, and finally the SOZ decomposed to stable formic haloacetic anhydride. Biogas was produced from spoilt fruit wastes and corncobs as feedstock. Laboratory bench scale setup was employed topretreat the substrate with a view to reducing reducing the start-up time in biogas production time using Calcium Hydroxide, Calcium oxide, Amylase enzyme and Potash at different concentrationson samples of substrate labelled A-H. Application of 2g of Calcium Hydroxide to a 60g substrate was found to initiate the production and improved the quantity of gas generated as (sample B) which reached its peak of 275 mL after 8 hours on day 2. The recipe was upscaled into a pilot-scale digester to produce a higher volume of biogas which was characterized and optimized by reducing the Carbon dioxide and other impurities..... Modelling annual maxima series (AMS) yields a compact and smoothed quantile relation for extrapolation to flood flow larger than those historically observed. The derived quantile relation obtained becomes a systematic, consistent and reliable tool for accurate estimation of design flood for design of water resources projects, flood plain management amongst others. In this study, the AMS of 62 years for Niger River at Lokoja were fitted to Generalized Extreme Value (GEV), Log Pearson type III(LP3) and Pearson type III( P3) distributions with probability weighed moments/Linear –moments (PWM/L-moments), and Method of moments (MOM) respectively........ Social isolation "is a state or process in which persons, groups, or cultures lose or do not have communication or cooperation with one another, often resulting in open conflict" (dictionary.com, no date). As indicated by a 2018 national survey in the US by Cigna, depression levels have arrived at an unequalled high, with nearly half of 20,000 U.S. citizens from the age of 18 to 27 detailing that they feel alone often. 40% of overview members additionally detailed they feel that their connections are not significant and that they feel segregated. Most of this is directly linked to peer pressure and people living unhealthy lifestyles and those who have toxic influences. Many individuals, however, disagree and believe that social isolation is created by a person himself and consider it a 'mental illness'. (APA, May 2019) @article{key:article,
