Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) proceeded of coconut dregs into bio-crude was attempted. Process parameters were attempted such as reaction time (2,3,4,5,6 hours), and substrate load of 0.3 – 2.5 grams. Increased in reaction time was increased degradation rates. There was decreased of the residual solid. The liquid and gaseous products were increased by increasing the reaction time. Increased the substrate load reduced the degradation rate and gaseous products, and liquid products were increased slightly, it's indicated that the residual solid was increased. In lowest substrate load of 0.3 gram there was higher degradation rate, it's mostly 50% of substrate was degraded into liquid and gaseous. Increase the substrate load the degradation rate was stagnant in about 70%, and liquid product was increased slightly, gaseous product was decreased slightly.

Keywords - coconut dregs, HTL, bio-crude, conversion.

Based on Darcy-Brinkman-Forchheimer flow model, this study analyzed the viscous dissipation effect on the forced, fully developed convection heat transfer in the flat channel filled with saturated porous medium of power-law fluid. Moreover, it derived the dimensionless calculation formulas for the axial velocity distribution and temperature distribution. Then the dimensionless formulas were numerically simulated by using classical Runge-Kutta method under constant heat flux boundary condition. The simulation results show that the dimensionless temperature distribution were affected greatly by Brinkman Number B r , Darcy number D a , Integrated Inertial Parameter F , and power-law index n

Paper Title :: Forced Convection in Circular Pipe Flow for Newtonian Fluids with Viscous Dissipation Effect on Heat Transfer
Author Name :: M. U. UWAEZUOKE
Page Number :: 15-23

In this study, an analysis of laminar forced convection in a pipe for a Newtonian fluid with constant properties is performed by taking the viscous dissipation into account. The study examines both hydrodynamically and thermally fully developed flow. Two different thermal boundary conditions are considered: constant heat flux (CHF) and constant wall temperature (CWT). Either wall heating (the fluid is heated) or wall cooling (the fluid is cooled) is considered. The temperature distribution and Nusselt numbers are analytically determined as a function of the Brinkman number.

Keywords - Laminar forced convection; Viscous dissipation; Pipe; Constant heat flux; Constant wall temperature; Wall heating; Wall cooling.

Energy consumption in the building sector accounts for about 20% to 60% of total energy in different regions of the world. To palliate the effects associated with high energy demand, and greenhouse gas emissions; energy audits offers an effective approach to identifying energy wastages while proffering Energy Saving Opportunities (ESOs). In this study, the electricity consumption of the air-conditioning and lighting system for a Public Building were evaluated based on elements of the energy audit flow chart outlined in EN 16247-2. The data collected provided information on energy consumption and system characteristics. Data about the air conditioning loads through sub-metering systems and lighting load through site survey were collected for analysis, comparison between utility meter and sub metering system, models to evaluate lighting energy demand based on EN 15193-1:2014. The energy saving opportunities for the building were analysed with suggestions on potential Energy Saving Opportunities put forward for energy reduction.

Keywords - Electricty consumption, energy audit, energy wastage, energy efficiency, energy saving opportunities

This paper studies the effects of government intervention in a micro-economy. Itincludes key, fundamental economic concepts that relate to government policies and its impact on an economy. The research has been started off by analyzing a collection of data from an online survey consisting of 6 short answer type questions, answered by 65 respondents, aimed at testing logical thinking and gaining insight from different perspectives that plays an important role in determining whether an economy benefits when the government intervenes. It has been noticed that almost 70% of the respondents feel that government intervention is beneficial in an economy since it provides resources and amenities for the growth and development of a country, and looks to achieve allocative efficiency, thus preventing any wastage of resources.

Vocational/vocational education as part of the national education system plays a very strategic role for the realization of a skilled workforce. However, there needs to be a method so that cadets' learning outcomes could be increased. HFACUS is a fun learning method in order to increase cadets' interest in learning, and this will also have an impact on learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the impact of HFACUS model on learning outcomes at the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a control class and an experimental class with a ratio of 50:50. Data collection techniques using Pretest Posttest. Based on the results of the study, it showed an increase in learning outcomes of Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic cadets using HFACUS learning model. HFACUS learning model has a positive influence on improving learning outcomes of Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic cadets.

Keywords - vocational education, learning outcomes, active learning simulation.

Paper Title :: Strength Characterization of Periwinkle Shell Polymer Concrete

Polymer concrete provides several advantages over traditional concrete, some of which have been carefully examined in the past. However, the cost of producing polymer concrete is high, thus this research attempted to minimize the cost of producing polymer concrete by replacing granitic coarse aggregate with periwinkle shell waste. The research implicated that the possibility of utilising waste material in the production of concrete offers a compelling alternative to waste disposal and the preservation of natural resources. To achieve this, the aggregate impact value (AIV) of samples A and B (periwinkle shell) was evaluated and a total of 120.5g of each was examined. To determine the particle size distribution, sieve analysis was performed on 100g of fine aggregate (i.e. river sand) and 5g of periwinkle shell...........

Paper Title :: To study the effect of age on attitudes towards men breaking traditionally "masculine" norms
Author Name :: Shriya Bhat

In the recent decade, the norms of what is traditionally considered to be masculine and feminine have begun to blend together, with the rigid, binary structure of gender now starting to lose its hold on society and a more fluid, spectrum-like approach towards the concept of gender identity and gender expression beginning to gain momentum. Previous research has stated that 'hegemonic masculinity ideals characterize real men in western contexts as strong, sexually assertive, heterosexual, dominant, active and in control of their emotions. Violence is an integral part of this masculinity and a means of sustaining dominance or achieving status. These ideals are institutionalized during the childhood years and in family and sexual relationships. Men who express emotion and vulnerability within the context of hegemonic...........
