This paper treats the production and performance tests of pedal operated pressed briquettes of about 220 mm x 80 mm x 67 mm using agricultural and wood wastes. The densification was achieved by using some mechanical pressure to reduce the volume of vegetable matter and its conversion to a solid form within a pedal operated briquette press designed and constructed for that purpose. The characteristics values of the briquettes such as the effects of the binder proportion in the briquette and its effects on the combustion properties were investigated using ASTME methods. The calorific value of the briquettes ranged between 11.50 MJkg-1 and 14.02 MJkg-1, making them suitable for use as supplementary fuel in small scale industries such as bakeries........ IN Vitro Fertilization (IVF) i.e. fertilizing an oocyte with the sperm under in vitro condition is the most convincing option for treating infertility in the couples in which conception is not possible with conventional treatments. It is achieved either by co-culturing oocyte with sperms (conventional IVF) or by injecting single sperm in the cytoplasm of oocyte (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection - ICSI). The cultured embryos are then transferred from day2 to 4 (cleavage stage) or day 5 (blastocyst stage) in the uterus of the woman under treatment for implantation. The benefit of in vitro oocyte culture prior to insemination during conventional IVF has been demonstrated; however there are discrepancies about its advantage during ICSI procedure. We undertook this work to examine the effect of duration of pre-incubation on the rate of fertilization after ICSI............ Keywords -Oocyte, Pre- incubation, IVF, ICSI @article{key:article,

Ogee profile flood spillways equipped with radial gates are common, and accurate computation of spilled discharge through partially-opened radial gates is an important problem. A new algorithm is developed for the method given in the latest edition of the book: Design of Small Dams for computation of discharge over ogee spillways equipped with radial gates for the partial opening case. This algorithm is more efficient with less computational load than the one presented in 'Hydraulic Design Criteria, Sheets 311-1 to 311-5' by US Army Corps of Engineers which is the method by 'Design of Small Dams'.......... This paper analyzes long and short term relationships between the components of the public debt in Lebanon by applying the cointegration analysis of monthly time series, from January 1994 to May 2014 (245 observations), according to Johansen's procedure. The Gross Local Currency Debt(GLCD) and the Foreign Currency Debt (FCD) are not cointegrated and are modeled by near-VAR (39) revealing bidirectional causality between them. The forecasts for May 2015 are respectively USD 40.16 billion and USD 27.375 billion. These results allow us to estimate 0.28% and 0.36% as monthly growth rates from May 2014 until May 2015 for GLCD and FCD respectively. The treasury bills at short and long terms (TBST, TBLT) are cointegrated (a constant in the cointegrating relationship). The same applies to treasury bills at 12, 6 and 3 months (TB12, TB6, TB3). For the systems (TBST, TBLT) and (TB12, TB6, TB3), the available forecasts for May 2015 are respectively in USD billion (0.766, 39.568) and (0.734, 0.544, 0.153)..........
