The rapid climate change is a huge concern around the world. Singapore is also very concerned as she has also experienced the negative consequences because of climate change. The Singapore government has identified the installation and the uses of air conditioning (AC) as one of the top factors that contributes to climate change. Hence, in this project, the focus is to study and improve on the current heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The ultimate objective of this project is to use Internet of Things (IoT) to retrieve and analyze data, and for Machine Learning to train and predict the ON/OFF state of the HVAC's damper. Thereafter, to allow the HVAC system to be automated.......

Objective. The aim of our research was to determine high radioactive points and radiation background in uranium deposit area, predict radiation hazards to population. Method: Using specific radioactivity concentrations of 238U, 232Th, 40K, which were collected from some points of uranium deposits in Mongolia, we have determined dose rate and effective equivalent dose in Gurvanbulag, Khairkhan, Dulaan-Uul, Zuuvch-Ovoo uranium deposits in Mongolia. Also we had determined radioactivity in soil, water, animal milk and air samples by HP-Ge gamma-spectrometer, which were collected in these four biggest uranium deposits of Mongolia........

Paper Title :: Research on Real-Time Control of Robotic Arm Using Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm
Author Name :: Nguyen Hong Quan, Vu Huy Trung, Nguyen Xuan Thien

This article presents the results of controlling a 2-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) robot arm moving in a plane with a traditional PID control system. However, the parameters of this control system are determined using the Algorithm Bee Colony optimization (ABC). The dynamics model of the robot arm is built and serves as the foundation to perform the control problem. The optimal parameters of the PID control system are determined based on the ABC algorithm and through MATLAB/SIMULINK software in real time. The results obtained from the control system are converted into signals that control the actual robot arm model........

Paper Title :: Computational Program for Determining the Heat Flow through the Furnace Walls
Author Name :: Tibor Bedő
Page Number :: 48-51
:: 10.9790/1813-12124851

Energy saving is a very topical issue. In these conditions, the reduction of heat losses through the walls of the furnaces (regardless of their nature: melting, heat treatment, etc.) is a priority right from the design phase. Knowing the thermal flow through the walls of the furnaces, they can be sized and the materials used to build them can be chosen so that the losses are reduced to the maximum. The paper presents a calculation program made in VisualBasic from Microsoft that allows determining the heat flow with a high enough precision for engineering calculations and not only. The main advantage is that a free platform is used and not specialized commercial software that is very expensive. The program can be used both for the design of industrial furnaces and for the modernization of existing furnaces by replacing the material of the insulating layer. It can also be used in other industries such as construction.

Facial expression Recognition is the challenging tasks in social context. Facial expressions are natural and is a mean of non-verbal communication. This paper focus on the survey of Face Expression Recognition (FER) techniques which include the three major stages such as preprocessing, feature extraction and classification. This survey is majorly focus on the various types of FER techniques and its contribution in this area. The performance of various FER techniques is compared considering the number of expressions, accuracy, complexity and efficiency of algorithms on Datasets like JAFFE, CK, CK+ The survey on classifiers is based upon recent papers and reveals an understanding and significance of the research in the field of automated facial expression recognition system.

Vinegar has been used in gastronomy culture throughout history. Bayramiç Beyazı (Prunus persica var. nucipersica) and Bayramiç apple (Malus domestica) are geographically indicated fruits grown in Turkey. In this study, Bayramiç Beyazı and Bayramiç apple vinegars were produced by traditional method and some chemical properties; pH, total dry matter, total acidity, color analysis (L*, a*, b*) together with antioxidant activities and total flavonoid content were calculated. DPPH free radical scavenging activities of vinegars produced from Bayramiç Beyazı and Bayramiç apples were 14% and 20%, respectively and their Total flavonoid content were determined as 1.932 and 1.873, respectively. Some quality characteristics were determined by comparing obtained results.

This project is about designing, manufacturing, and experimental verification of an Arduino-based DIY 3D scanner to meet the extensive needs of 3D scanning in manufacturing and reverse modeling. The principles of commercial 3D scanners are mainly based on time of flight, triangulation, and structured light, which are expensive. This project builds a low-cost 3D scanner based on triangulation with a total cost of $ 161.95. Arduino is the central control unit, combined with a lifting platform, rotating platform, infrared distance sensor, SD card storage module, and TFT touch screen. 3D scanner adopts a modular approach to establishing circuits, effectively reducing the consumption of circuit consumables. For the electrical part, the project proposes a low-pass hardware filtering method.........
