This paper concerned with the solution of finite nanowire superlattice quantum dot structures GaAs/AlGaAs with a cylindrical cross-section determine by electronic states in various type of layers in terms of wave functions between structures containing the same number of barriers and wells (asymmetrical) or containing a different number (symmetrical). The solution is considered with the Finite element method with different base linear rectangular element to solve the one electron Ben Daniel-Duke equation. The results of numerical examples are compared for accuracy and efficiency with the finite difference method of this method and finite element method of linear triangular element. This comparison shows that good results of numerical examples.

An analytical computation of the problem of nonlinear magneto-hydrodynamic flow with heat transfer characteristics is considered for an incompressible viscous, electrically conducting fluid past a vertical plate with transverse magnetic field applied normal to the surface. The dimensionless transient nonlinear governing boundary layer flow equations which are coupled partial differential equations are obtained. These are transformed to ordinary differential equations and solved using the Laplace transform method. The effect of the resulting parameters are analysed and compared with existing results in literature

The aviation industry today is a growing industry but is faced with many challenges that entail "rough decisions, forcing them to ground planes, pare fleets, consolidate routes, and cut staff" ("2011 Global Aerospace Outlook," 2011). As a result, airline companies try to survive by having leaner organizations that aspire for efficiency; they aim for competitiveness and yet work on reducing costs in all possible ways. They are bombarded with issues such as increasing or fluctuating fuel prices which affect their profit margins; there are also companies that approach challenges with a "wait and see" attitude as they await what will happen and how they will perform as situations happen; but there also those that are confronted

An Phishing is the process to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details by disguising as a trustworthy entity by the use of an electronic communication. Phishing attack continues to pose a solemn risk for web users and annoying threat within the field of electronic commerce. The Phishing detection using fuzzy and binary matrix construction method focuses on discerning the significant features that discriminate between legitimate and phishing URLs. The significant features are extracting the number of dots, length of the host etc., from each URL. These features are then subjected to associative rule mining-apriori and predictive apriori. The rules obtained are interpreted to emphasize the features that are more prevalent in phishing URLs.........

Material waste generated by the activities of the construction industry poses serious danger to both the construction projects concerned and the environment at large. Previous researches both at local and international level have neglected construction operatives and craft men who are the majority stakeholder. The study was aim to assess the perception of construction operatives, Tradesmen and Artisans on materials waste generation in the construction industry, with a view to encouraging better performance of construction projects in Nigeria. The study employed questionnaire survey. Tables and figures where used to present the collected data and Mean item score (MIS) and percentage were used to analyze the data collected...........

Safety and health at work are extremely important, yet they still appear to be one of the most neglected factors in the aviation industry. Almost 90% of accidents that occur in the workplace are due to human errors. While studies suggest that the lack of skills and experience among workers can significantly increase the prevalence of human errors, few studies actually investigate how stress and fatigue can affect human error. Hence, this study aims to explore the significance of the effects of stress and fatigue and work on human error in aviation industry. Questionnaires were developed and distributed to several air traffic control units across China and Eastern Europe. A total of 73 questionnaire responses were collected............

The salt water is being a problem for a long time with decrease in fresh water reservoirs it has become difficult to survive in the future. This paper concerned on using a clean energy for converting the saline water of sea into fresh water which can be used for drinking .The tidal energy of sea is being earlier used in order to generate electricity the spare water is being pumped back into the sea but if the spare water is being converted into steam using solar thermal power and the electricity produced by tidal power, then the evaporated water after cooling can be stored which can be used for drinking. The changes are been done in order to use the central receiver thermal power plant in order to produce power as well as clean source of drinking water without depleting the natural fossil fuels and without disturbing the environment.

The historical development of technology used in celestial navigation is presented in this paper. As with the realization of the limitations of the earlier technology, advancements have provided solutions to provide more effective information for marine navigation. Though technology may have provided the solutions for the limitations encountered, technology is in itself still limited to address certain emergencies and threats. Thus, learning of the crude method of celestial navigation is recommended. Although this realization has been supported by the revival of the course of celestial navigation in the US Naval Academy, the need to reinforce the significance of using crude celestial navigation methods must be made.

The ascending air parcel will expand, and it will experience not only lowering of its pressure and density, but also of its temperature. All three state variables: pressure, density, and temperature will remain in balance as described by the gas law. By combining the equation of state, the first law of thermodynamics, and the hydrostatic equation, the rate of adiabatic temperature change in an ascending air parcel can be found. Atmospheric lapse is a measure of how much air decreases in temperature as it rises through the atmosphere. There are three types of lapse rates: dry-adiabatic, environmental lapse rates, and saturated or moist-adiabatic............

This article makes a comment on programming with big number libraries like GMP and MPFR libraries. The comment proposes not using recursive procedure in programs since recursive procedure that performs big number computations might use big size of stack while neither the operation system nor a compile system can afford to provide the needed size. Based on the comments, the article recommends designing proper algorithm that avoids a recursive procedure. With an example that uses the GMP big number library in factorization of big odd number, the article demonstrates how to convert a recursive procedure into a non-recursive procedure and its numerical experiments sustain that the sample program reveals expected results.

Maximum power transfer in solar micro-grid applications is achieved by impedance matching with a dc–dc converter with maximum power point tracking by the incremental conductance method. Cuk dc to dc converters because of the increase and decrease voltage capability is an important and two inductors in the input and output decrease current ripple significantly. This paper describes how to use non-linear inductors in Cuk converter and designs values of capacitors properly. Because of the Cuk converter uses two inductors, use of variable inductors has great value and reduce the size and cost of inductors and increases the operating range............

From a national economic viewpoint, floods, both riverine and coastal, are the most destructive category of natural hazards in India. The economic losses to homes and personal property, to crops, business facilities and stock , utilities are major manifestations of flood losses. India is highly vulnerable to floods. in that scenario there is a urgent requirement for development and installation of enhanced flood forecasting sites in various commonly flooding regions . In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of a sensor-based embedded system for flood management. The project is mainly concerned on how the data of the flood is being used and analyzed for future forecasting.............

Multi directional Cold rolling of Al 6061 along the transverse and longitudinal direction results in more uniform distribution of the particulates. This rolling is associated with a considerable amount of damage to the particulates. Room temperature tensile tests and Vickers hardness test carried out on the rolled alloy at different reduction ratios showed, significant increase in strength and hardness. However, the test results show that the alloy could be cold rolled up to 50% reduction without forming any edge crack. Such behaviors of rolled al alloy are analyzed on the basis of change of microstructure from cores to fine results in increase of tensile strength and hardness by increasing the reduction ratio in the cold rolling process.

Sorting of the products in the industry is very difficult task and continuous manual sorting creates issues. It is very desirable to create a machine that identify the objects and relocate them if the object meets certain criteria. This paper presents a solution to sort the coloured objects with the help of the robotic arm. The objects when placed on the conveyor belt are sorted based on colour sensing and are relocated to specific location. When an object moves from one location to another on the conveyor belt, the sensors give the input to the microcontroller which then give the command to the robotic arm to do the task. TCS3200 colour sensor is used for detection of the colour of the object. DC motors are used to move the conveyor belt, gripper and the lifter. Arduino Nano microcontroller is used to give the commands. L293D motor driver is used to drive the motors and LCD display makes the system user friendly.
